The low priced, nimble Whippets were acclaimed for roomy interiors, fuel economy, and... “From 40 mph, the 1930 Whippet can stop dead in just over 2 seconds. The brakes are of the mechanical type, Bendix internal expanding on front wheels and external contracting on rear wheels”.

The small, high compression 4 cylinder  side valve engine was rated at 15.6hp, 145.7 cu.in. and had full forced feed lubrication, Invarstrut pistons and silent timing chain. Wheelbase 103”. Tyre Size 5.50x 19“.
